A third-generation Angeleno, Jeff Weiss was a former columnist at L.A. Weekly until Semanal Media decided to test how much of an impact 2Pac’s “Hit Em Up” had on his adolescence (you can read more in his book “2Pac Vs. Biggie: Rap’s Greatest Battle” or just ask Brian Calle about him). He’s the founder of POW Recordings and the editor of Passion of the Weiss, the last rap blog. A regular contributor to the Los Angeles Times and the Washington Post, he has too much to say about L.A. to fit into a capsule bio; you’re going to just have to keep reading this magazine.
